It is important to note that Tabletop Alliance did not identify itself as running “Bingo or related gaming activities” because these gaming events are not games of luck, rather games of skill, strategy, and tactics as they are utilizing modern board games. Specifically, Tabletop Alliance has no plans to run “gaming” type activities as outlined in IRS Publication 3079. Tabletop Alliance’s paid gaming activities for awareness and fundraising purposes will be an insubstantial activity of the Corporation. These gaming activities will not be carried out on a regular basis. In addition, no gaming events will have a payout or distribution of funds raised to those participating. Top placed competitors are to be rewarded for their success through any of the following a trophy or similar award, Tabletop Alliance promotional items (t-shirt, etc.), prizes (Board Games, and similar products), gift cards provided by sponsors of the activities.
