Join the Alliance by founding a Guild at your local educational or community organization/program. “Guilds” are local groups using the games provided by Tabletop Alliance or other sources to advance learning and development in an educational or community organization/program. Each Guild has the following:

  • A Guild Leader & Participants from their educational or community program
  • Games! Including the opportunity to have a Guild Kit provided by Tabletop Alliance (more information below)
  • Frequent communication by Tabletop Alliance to enhance their impact
  • Access to advice and resources organized and provided by Tabletop Alliance

Individuals who partner with Tabletop Alliance to create Guilds are known as Guild Leaders. These are the people who bring the Alliance to life in their local community by making a positive difference though the intentional use of games to advance their outcomes. Guild Leaders are typically educators, librarians, school counselors, or community program leaders.

By being a Guild Leaders are asked to provide a positive, welcoming, and developmental experience in their local setting. In addition, they are to maintain the equipment provided by role modeling positive behaviors, and to participate in ongoing opportunities to further the impact of Tabletop Alliance through their thoughtful work.

Free Games!

To set Tabletop Alliance up for success, we have a three times a year shipping timeline for free game kits! These are Fall, Spring, and Summer. While they will be towards the beginning of those semesters, the exact time/date of the shipping party will vary but will be communicated in advance!

DUE TO HIGH DEMAND – any requests after August 25, 2023 will automatically be added to the Spring 2024 shipment.

Our goal is to have gaming occurring in each educational and community program across the United States. We would love to provide all gaming kits at no cost, and we are working hard to foster more partnerships, funding, and staffing to make that happen. At this time though due to limited resources we must prioritize the distribution of free kits to those with greatest need (see below for factors considered). This being said, in the application there is the option to purchase gaming kit(s) for your educational and/or community-based organization/program at a significantly reduced cost if your organization can afford to do so. In some cases Tabletop Alliance may be able to also offer cost-sharing options where guilds only pay a fraction of the total cost of a kit with the remainder covered by Tabletop Alliance through donations. Regardless, upon submission we will follow up with next steps and options as soon as we can.

Tabletop Alliance prioritizes providing gaming kits at no cost given the following factors:

  • Type of Education/Community Organization/Program
  • Organization/Program’s community setting, prioritizing low socio-economic  and/or historically marginalized communities
  • Your guilds planned activities
  • Immediacy of need
  • Location Details
  • Likelihood of Guild Success
  • Commitment and alignment to the purpose of Tabletop Alliance
