Supporting the use of games though our network of educators, librarians, and community leaders across the US!

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we believe that games can have a profound impact on people and since our founding we are thankful to share that we have furthered the use of games in education and community programs across the US by impacting more than 9,000 students from coast-to-coast.

We do this by sending FREE game kits of modern board, card, and role-playing games to those those who either currently or want to use games in their work as educators, librarians, and community leaders.

We know that these sectors are asked to do more with less and play a critical role in our society and we do all we can to support them in furthering their impact.

We have heard directly from those we have in our nationwide network that games assist in developing skills critical to student success including social emotional learning (SEL) outcomes. Some of the great ways games can make an impact are by offering opportunities for students to:

  • Uncover a strategies that reinforce how adaptable they can be
  • Think outside the box to achieve goals
  • Learn to be resilient in the face of adversity
  • Balance multiple objectives at a given moment
  • Demonstrate resilience in the face of loss
  • Foster communication with others across difference

Modern games are not like games of yesteryear such as Monopoly and Sorry! Although they may include some aspects of older games, such as a board, cards, and dice, however that is where the similarities end as they can be deeply complex, skill based, and thematic.

Each game’s style, mechanics, and implementation offer unique opportunities for educators and community leaders to utilize towards meaningful outcomes.
